The warnings were quite serious, so the author toned it down slightly by saying it’s just a story. Now that the book is out, I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised with the portions of the book devoted to healthy living and portion control. This isn’t your mom’s wellness book or something meant to educate you on portion control. It’s a motivational book and entertaining randy stupendous tale.
In rapper Rick Ross’s case, it only took a couple of seizures to get his attention to dieting and weight loss. So what’s the importance of drugs, steaks, and an expensive personal jet if all you’re having a seizure while you’re trying to build hard muscle? Not much.
I’m a huge fan of rap music, especially hip hop, so it wasn’t a surprise that I was hooked when Rick Ross published his eBook and started selling it. The book was a fast paced read and I liked that Ross included lots of recipes that you could put together yourself and eat for the first two days. The diet isn’t overly complicated and the recipes are easy to follow. It wasn’t easy to lose a lot of weight while I wasn’t losing fat and the meals still kept me full for two days after I completed my diet.
Another thing I liked was the general advice that is given. Ross starts out by telling you not to give up. You can lose weight and your body will thank you for it later. Then there is general advice such as don’t drink soda in the first two days or you’ll gain more weight and be dehydrated. Also he tells you not to try to lose more weight than you can handle. He emphasizes eating healthy and drinking water throughout the day.
If you read through the book you will quickly realize that Ross isn’t an expert on anything but he is an artist. He makes his recommendations based on his own experience and he gives you practical, proven ways to lose excessive weight. It is well written and really can be applied to everyday life. If you aren’t already into losing weight then this book should help put you on the right track. If you suffer from seizures, have had too many surgeries, or are just overweight you will benefit from reading this to better prepare you for the road to recovery. It may not solve all your problems, but it will help you get through yours.
